The Online Casino review

A plain 100% match up to £50 with 20 spins on Big Bass Bonanza. Round-the-clock live support is a plus; the conversion caps and 7-day spin window are the catch.

What you actually get

Deposit £10 or more as a new player and The Online Casino matches it 100%, up to £50. You also get 20 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza. It's the most conventional offer on our list, which isn't a criticism.

Now the less visible part. The terms cap what you can convert: "from the bonus amount: 50 or from free spins: £20". The first figure has no currency sign in the original text; we read it as £50, which matches the sister brand Vegas Mobile. On a £50 bonus that cap barely bites. It would only matter if you ran the bonus up a long way.

Also in the terms: Skrill and Neteller deposits are excluded, and any withdrawal request cancels active or pending bonuses. If you might want your deposit back before finishing the wagering, that's worth knowing now rather than later.

Wagering, worked through

The structure is the ProgressPlay one: bonus and spin winnings are wagered separately, each at 10x, on different timers.

  • Deposit £50, receive a £50 bonus. You need £500 of bonus bets within 30 days.
  • Say the 20 spins win £5. That's £50 of wagering, which has to be done within 7 days.
  • Clear both and the most you can convert is £50 from the bonus and £20 from the spins.

The £5 spin return is an example we picked; 20 spins can easily return less. "Wager from real balance first" means your own £50 goes before the bonus, and only bets placed with bonus money count towards the £500. Contribution varies by game and the bonus works on selected games only, so check the list before you pick a table game to clear it on.

A small bonus with a £10 deposit works the same way: £10 bonus, £100 of bonus bets.

ProgressPlay also operates Vegas Mobile Casino, the top brand in our table, and the two share nearly word-for-word terms. Both carry the line "limited to 5 brands within the network", so welcome offers across ProgressPlay sites appear to be rationed. If you've already claimed at a sister site, check before assuming this one is open to you.

Games

The lobby lists 2,000+ casino games. Studios include Games Global, Playtech, Spinomenal, Light & Wonder and Eyecon, and titles we could confirm include Fluffy Favourites, Solar Queen, The Sweetest: Cash Collect and Live Roulette.

Live support runs 24/7. Of our five, this is the only brand where we can confirm round-the-clock help. We don't have a verified list of payment methods, so look at the cashier, and remember the Skrill/Neteller exclusion if you want the bonus.

Pros and cons

Good

  • Straightforward 100% match up to £50
  • £10 minimum deposit
  • 24/7 live support
  • Broad studio mix, including Playtech and Games Global

Not so good

  • Only 20 spins
  • Spin winnings must be wagered within 7 days
  • Withdrawal requests cancel active bonuses
  • Skrill and Neteller deposits don't qualify
  • Bonus conversion cap written without a currency sign
  • Welcome offers limited across the operator's network

How to claim it

  1. Open The Online Casino from the offer box and register as a new player.
  2. Add a deposit limit in your account settings.
  3. Deposit £10 to £50 with a card or method that isn't Skrill or Neteller.
  4. Use the 20 Big Bass Bonanza spins within the week, then work through the bonus on eligible games within 30 days.

Verdict

A fair, ordinary offer from an operator with good support hours. It ranks fourth because the spins are few, the spin window is short and the withdrawal-cancels-bonus rule is stricter than at the Skill On Net brands. If 24/7 help matters to you, that can easily outweigh a couple of tenths of a point.
