What a code actually does

Casinos often run several welcome offers at once, for different adverts, partners or countries. The code is how the system knows which one to attach to your account. It isn't a secret password, and it doesn't make an offer bigger than advertised. Think of it as a reference number.

It also doesn't change the terms. A coded offer still has a minimum deposit, wagering and a time limit, and those are the parts that matter.

Both brands are run by Skill On Net, and both sets of terms also say the bonus is "automatically credited upon deposit". Our reading: the code is how the offer is advertised, and the cashier may or may not ask for it. If there's a code box, fill it in. If there isn't, the terms say the bonus should arrive anyway.

When to type it

Usually one of two places. Some casinos ask during registration, on the last page of the form. Others ask in the cashier, next to the deposit amount. Look before you press the deposit button, because once the payment has gone through it's often too late.

1. Open the account through the offer link.
2. On the deposit screen, look for a field labelled promo code, bonus code or similar.
3. Type the code in capitals, check the minimum deposit, then pay.
4. Check your balance: the bonus and spins should show before you start playing.

Forgot the code?

Stop before you play anything. Contact support straight away, explain that you meant to claim the welcome offer and give the code. Whether they can add it afterwards is up to them. Playing through your deposit first makes it much less likely, because many offers require the spins or bonus to be used before your deposited funds.

Codes you find elsewhere

Be wary of codes posted on forums or social media promising more than the operator's own page. If an offer isn't on the casino's site or in its terms, assume it doesn't exist. And never share your account or use someone else's details to claim an offer again; operators normally limit welcome offers to one per person and do check.
